How do I book an appointment?

Online booking procedures

  1. Once you have logged in select “Book Appointment”.
  2. Choose the type of service you desire. Always schedule color first.
  3. All haircuts include a blow-dry and all color services give the option to choose a haircut or just a blow-dry.
  4. Choose your stylist.
  5. Choose the date/time you desire.
  6. Click “Find Available Appointments”.
  7. Choose from the available appointments and click “Book”.
  8. You may request additional services in the text box before clicking the “book” button. We will do our best to accommodate your request but cannot guaranty the additional services will be available at the requested time.

What happens if I arrive late?

Late Arrivals

We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals. If you miss more than half of your appointment your stylist reserves the right to start their next client. If a later appointment is available you will be offered that time. If you are unable to take the time offered it will be considered a late cancellation and you will be charged your full service fee. If you know that you are going to be late, we kindly ask that you call ahead so that we can better assess the situation.

How to cancel an appointment?

Cancellations

In compliance with our new operating restrictions, we must change our cancellation policy. As of October 1st, If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment you will be subject to a $100 fee. If you cancel within 24 hours or do not show up you will be charged the full price of your services booked. We thank our clients in advance for their understanding!

How I pay for services and products?

Discover, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Check, and Cash are accepted.
Please note that there is a $50 bounced check fee.

Can I get a refund or a redo?

Refunds + Redos

Stilisti does not extend refunds on services rendered. Your first visit and all color changes may require multiple services that day or within 2 weeks of the initial service as there is no way for us to know exactly how your hair will react to the process. If you are not pleased with your hair we welcome you to contact us immediately so that we can schedule a complementary alteration within one week of the service provided.

We will happily make any adjustments to services provided within the first 10 days free of charge with the original stylist. If you see a higher-tier stylist there could be an additional fee based on their expertise. Any adjustments after the initial 10 days are subject to a fee.

Products may be exchanged with a receipt within 30 days. GHD styling irons and Solano blow dryers have a 2-year warranty with their companies; please register them on their websites.

Do you work off premises?

A deposit of 50% is required when making your appointment for all wedding day/special event services. Deposits are nonrefundable for appointments canceled within 4 weeks of the event date. No-show and late canceled appointments will be billed the remaining 50% of the service booked. Please contact one of our Salon Coordinators for further details and scheduling.

Salon Policies

Children At The Salon

This environment contains many factors that can be dangerous for children. In the event that you must bring your child into the salon, please keep your children seated with you at all times; no running, yelling, hanging from chairs, sofas, windows, etc. For the safety and comfort of everyone, children under 12 are discouraged unless they are receiving a service. If your child is watching a video or playing a game we ask that they use headphones to not to disturb our other guests.

Parking

City parking and commuting can be challenging, especially on Newbury Street. We kindly ask that you add additional time to ensure a timely arrival for your services.

We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, please note that your service may need to be adjusted or rescheduled depending on the time of your arrival and service booked. Some examples of an adjustment would be skipping the blow-dry or your stylist stepping away to take their next client then finish your service. This will of course be communicated to you. If we must reschedule your service to a different day there will be a fee.

We are not able to feed meters, please use the ParkBoston App. On street parking is limited to 2 hours. Even if your meter is refilled you could still receive a ticket. Stilisti is not responsible for any parking tickets incurred. We encourage parking at one of the nearby garages listed below for services longer than 1 hour.

ParkBoston: Used to pay for on street parking.

Garages:
Back Bay Garage (Entrance at 199 Clarendon Street and 113 St. James Ave.)
Ask the front desk for our Back Bay Garage Coupon and receive a discount for evening (enter after 5pm) and weekend parking (10 hour limit).

Appointment Confirmations

As a courtesy, we send out electronic appointment confirmations 2 days before your appointment. If you do not receive a confirmation please check your account. Technology is not always perfect so we ask that you not rely on the confirmations alone. You are ultimately responsible for your appointment as scheduled. Thank you.

Proper Attire

We ask that you disrobe from the waist up and change into the robe provided. Stilisti cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by hair color, etc.

Personal Items

We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged valuables.

Cell Phones and Electronics

We require all electronic devices be silenced upon entering Stilisti and that necessary conversation be kept to a level that is respectful to our other guests. If you need to make a call or listen to a message or video please use your earbuds so as not to disturb other guests.
